Bauhaus Workshops: Sculpture, Wood Carving, and Weaving (1923)

Abstract

The sculpture and wood carving workshops, documented in these historical photographs, are notable for their mixture of modernist pieces (either complete or in progress) with traditional stone-working and woodworking tools. The weaving workshop demonstrates the Bauhaus commitment to the traditional decorative arts.
